Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE IN

One God who exists eternally in three co-equal Persons:

* GOD, Co-Creator, is Sustainer of Life, all powerful, and all-loving

* JESUS CHRIST, Co-Creator, born of a virgin, is fully human and fully divine. His obedience, death and resurrection free humanity from the power of sin and death. Now seated in heaven, He awaits his return to judge humanity and to rule His kingdom.

* HOLY SPIRIT, Co-Creator, Giver of Gifts, gives believers power to live as disciples and to continue Jesus' work until His return.

WE BELIEVE THAT

* By nature, all humans are sinners who need forgiveness and salvation from the penalty of our sin.

* The penalty of our sin is eternal death and that the power of sin affects our bodies, our relationships, and the world around us.

* We are saved from the penalty of sin and freed from the power of sin when we place our belief and trust in the work of Jesus on the cross, not our own good works. God gives us new life, both now and in eternity, and gives us new identities as God's children.

* The Bible is inspired by God, speaks of God's relationship with His people, God's plan of salvation, and God's purposes for His people. Believers study, remember, and apply God's Word to their lives.

* The purpose of the Church is to proclaim the good news about God's gift of salvation, to demonstrate God's love in practical ways, and to equip believers to live out their faith.

* Through the power of the Holy Spirit, all believers are changed to become like Jesus, are endowed with gifts to build one another up, and are empowered to serve the world around us.

WE BELIEVE THAT ALL BELIEVERS

* Will follow Jesus in water baptism, the outward symbol of an inward change that takes place upon belief and trust in Jesus as Savior. Baptism also indicates a commitment to follow Jesus as Lord.

* Will celebrate the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf.

*Will seek to grow in our relationship with Jesus, to testify to His saving work in our lives, to become like Him in character, and to live in full obedience to His teachings.

*Will pledge our allegiance and loyalty to Jesus Christ and His Church and will not become involved in any secret organization which is inconsistent with our Christian faith and witness or is detrimental to our spiritual well-being.

The road to the Cross is a crossroad of decision.
Will you repent of your sin and receive the gift of salvation?
Will you follow Jesus as Lord?
Will you obey Jesus' teachings?
